It was a busy day for officers and emergency responders. Two medical assists were handled early in the day, followed by a reported sexual assault—details have not yet been released.
At 9 a.m., officers conducted a welfare check at an apartment on Madison Way. RapidSOS data and dispatchers helped locate the caller, and officers were on scene within minutes.
Later that morning, a water emergency flooded a home on Teddington Lane. The resident was left holding a leaking hose as police helped manage the situation.
Police also responded to a custodial interference case on East Robin Lane and a parking violation at Green Bay and Main Streets, where a vehicle was left unattended near an intersection.
In the afternoon, multiple officers responded to a suspicious person on South Weed Street. Witnesses said the man appeared intoxicated, was barefoot, swearing, and disturbing neighbors.
There was also a 911 hang-up from North Bartlett Street, a juvenile problem on Northridge Drive, and two separate disturbance calls, one on South Union and another on North Franklin Street later in the evening.
Officers assisted residents on Pearl Avenue and responded to reports of a sick or injured animal—a deer struck near County Road B and Waukechon Street early Sunday morning.
Clintonville Police Department reported Officers conducted over a dozen business checks overnight, with stops on Industrial Avenue, South Main Street, and Waupaca Street.
Multiple extra patrols were logged throughout the day, including the Pigeon Lake Boat Launch and neighborhoods along East 12th Street and Memorial Circle.
There were several traffic stops reported, including along Highway 45 and the intersections of North 12th and Hemlock, and North Main at West 12th.
Police also responded to a mental health call on North Clinton Avenue, investigated a suspicious person on East Morning Glory Drive, and handled an animal complaint on South Main.
One juvenile runaway incident was reported on North 12th Street, and a neighbor dispute on 16th Street.
No major incidents were reported, and officers maintained a strong presence across the city.
It was a busy Sunday for law enforcement across Shawano County, with several notable incidents reported throughout the day.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to multiple 911 calls, including one just after midnight where a dog was heard barking in the background of a disconnected call from Bowler. Other calls ranged from medical assists to possible suspicious activity.
Animal-related incidents kept officers on their toes. In Clintonville, two cows were spotted wandering along County Road G, one reportedly “feisty.” Deputies also investigated an ongoing animal neglect case in Krakow, where a dog had allegedly been left tied to a tree since Friday.
Reckless driving complaints surged across the county, including a disturbing report near Wittenberg where a driver was allegedly flipping off other motorists. At least three incidents of dangerous driving were documented before sundown.
In Shawano, a suspicious van seen filming outside a home triggered concerns, as the family involved had recently suffered a tragedy. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle.
Meanwhile, emergency lockouts were reported throughout the day — including visitors from Illinois and Little Chute who accidentally locked themselves out of their vehicles. All were resolved without damage.
And finally, a report from Cecil involved a resident finding a bar of soap in her goat pen — raising concerns about possible poisoning by a neighbor.
In total, the Shawano County Sheriff’s Office responded to over 30 calls for service Sunday, ranging from minor traffic hazards to potential crimes under investigation.
