SHAWANO, WI – What was once a garage door manufacturing facility on Shawano’s east side is now a vibrant hub for community growth and opportunity. The Elizabeth Street Business Complex, located at 607 Elizabeth Street, provides affordable space for nonprofits, small businesses, and entrepreneurs looking to launch or expand their work in the community.
Dennis Heling, Chief Economic Development Officer, says the facility offers a mix of industrial warehousing, business offices, and nonprofit suites designed to support a wide range of community needs. “We have space there, including some industrial warehousing, business tenants, and a whole suite of office areas for nonprofits and community activities,” Heling said.
Among the organizations calling the complex home are Shawano County United Way, Leadership Shawano County, and the Shawano County Literacy Council. Robyn Shingler, Director of Community Education and a board member of the complex, says the space has become a hub for collaboration and local impact.
From empowering nonprofits to supporting local startups, the Elizabeth Street Business Complex continues to play a vital role in Shawano’s economic and social landscape, quietly making big dreams possible from within a once-industrial space.
