GREEN BAY, WI- Authorities are searching for a 46-year-old Keshena woman accused of stealing a Prevea Health patient shuttle van at knifepoint outside HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center on Green Bay’s west side Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred around 7:40 a.m., when a Prevea Health employee reported being confronted by a woman with a large knife who demanded he exit the vehicle. The suspect then fled the scene in the van.
Green Bay Police have identified the suspect as Jerilyn Soto, who is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees her or the van is urged to call 911 immediately and not approach.
Police believe Soto may have left the Green Bay area in the stolen vehicle, a 2022 dark gray Chrysler Pacifica with Wisconsin license plate 35729A. The van has Prevea Health markings and a large, white triangular topper that reads “Prevea Health Patient Shuttle.”
In a statement, Prevea Health said, “We are deeply grateful no one was harmed in this incident outside St. Mary’s this morning. HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center and Prevea Health are working closely with the Green Bay Police Department, and we thank them for their efforts in keeping our community safe.”
