Clintonville Police Officers responded to a range of calls starting just before 3 a.m. with a traffic issue on South Main Street, followed by a reported alarm a few hours later in the same area.
Throughout the morning, police were busy with 911 calls, ambulance assists, and suspicious activity—including reports of a suspicious person on North 12th Street and an incident on North Main.
Three separate traffic stops took place during the day, including one at Highway 45 and County Highway O. Two traffic hazards were also reported—one on Waupaca Street and another at South Main and East 12th.
Midday saw mutual aid requests on 7th and West Ramsdell Streets and a parking enforcement stop on Harriet and North Main.
Officers also responded to a disorderly conduct call on Robert Street just before 10 p.m.
Extra patrols were conducted early in the day on East 12th and late in the evening at Memorial Circle.
Shawano County Deputies responded to an early morning 911 call prompted a swift response to a potential armed home intrusion on South Bartlett Street in Shawano. The caller reported someone attempting to break in with a gun. Deputies secured the scene and later closed the case. No injuries were reported.
Later in the day, two drivers were cited for reckless driving—one on Highway 29 and another on County Roads E and BB near Cecil. In both cases, the drivers were observed crossing lane lines and operating vehicles unsafely.
Deputies were also called to multiple vehicle-related incidents, including three disabled vehicles on major roadways, a pair of minor traffic crashes, and a truck that reportedly struck a tree near Dent Creek Road. Thankfully, no serious injuries occurred.
Meanwhile, officers responded to animal complaints, including a barking dog that caused a stir in a Shawano neighborhood and a deer that had to be put down near Maple Hill Road.
Two individuals were picked up on active warrants—one in Shawano and another from the Brown County Jail.
From the Stockbridge-Munsee Police, a minor traffic accident was reported on Fairview Road in Bowler. There were no injuries, and no tows were required.
And finally, DNR officers issued a citation for illegal off-road vehicle use near Roosevelt Road after a man was spotted riding a mini dirt bike in violation of regulations.
