WEYAUWEGA, WI – Weyauwega Fire Chief Thomas Cullen Jr. has been named the Wisconsin State Volunteer Fire Chief of the Year, a prestigious honor awarded by the Wisconsin State Fire Chiefs Association.
The award recognizes nearly four decades of dedicated service, including Cullen’s leadership as fire chief since 2012. During his tenure, Cullen has overseen the expansion of training programs, the modernization of department equipment, and the strengthening of partnerships with surrounding fire departments and emergency services.
In addition to this statewide recognition, Cullen has also received multiple Firefighter of the Year awards throughout his career, reinforcing his long-standing commitment to public safety and the Weyauwega community.
