Anne J. Erdman, age 87 of Marion, passed away peacefully at Greentree Health & Rehabilitation Center, Clintonville on Wednesday afternoon, July 2, 2025.
Anne was born March 18, 1938, daughter to the late Carl and Grace (Wright) Christenson at her home in the Town of Morris. She attended Norway School and later graduated from Tigerton High School in 1956. She married Warren L. Erdman at Immanuel Lutheran Church on September 6, 1958. After graduation, Anne and three classmates relocated to Milwaukee to find work. She was hired at Sears Roebuck and worked in the credit department. She then changed jobs and worked at Cutler Hammer Credit Union. She and Warren later moved back to their hometown and Anne began working at Four Wheel Drive Credit Union. FWD then merged with Fox Communities Credit Union at which point Anne was promoted to manager of the Clintonville Branch. She retired May 1, 2000 after 40 years of employment.
Anne was very active in her church and community as a member of the Marion Lioness Club for many years. She enjoyed playing chimes in her music group “The Jubilant Chimers” and also singing in the church choir. Anne was very compassionate and volunteered her time delivering meals to the Senior Center and helping out at the House of Hope. In her spare time, Anne loved to crochet. She made afghan blankets, prayer shawls for her church, baby hats and blankets, & pieces for under soldier’s helmets to keep them warm. Another one of Anne’s favorite pastimes was camping with her husband, Warren. They started out in a truck bed camper and later upgraded to a travel trailer. They camped in many places over the years such as Pine Lake Campground, Camp Holiday, and a campground near Three Lakes, all in Wisconsin. On their camping trips they loved fishing. Warren would clean the fish and Anne would cook them up for a delicious dinner. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and friend.
Anne is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Warren
Brother: Charles (Kay) Christenson
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her son, David.
