SHAWANO COUNTY, WI- A string of vandalism incidents across Shawano County has led to citations for three juveniles, according to the Shawano County Sheriff’s Office.
Lieutenant Chris Madle confirmed the investigation, sparked by widespread reports of damaged mailboxes, destroyed stop signs, and vandalism to a church—has largely concluded. “It was mostly mailboxes, but there was some damage to a church as well,” said Madle.
Authorities say a concerned parent reached out to law enforcement, suspecting their child’s involvement. That tip helped deputies identify three juveniles, who later admitted to nearly all of the vandalism acts reported over the weekend. Multiple citations were issued, and deputies are now working with affected property owners to repair the damage. No names are being released due to the suspects’ ages.
