TOWN OF SENECA, WI- One juvenile is dead and two others were injured following a single-vehicle rollover crash Thursday evening in Shawano County.
The crash occurred around 6:09 p.m. on June 19 along County Highway D, just south of County Highway J in the Town of Seneca. Shawano County deputies responded to the scene along with multiple fire and EMS agencies.
According to the Shawano County Sheriff’s Office, a passenger vehicle was traveling northbound on CTH D when the driver lost control and the car entered the ditch, rolling over. Investigators say speed was a contributing factor.
The vehicle was occupied by an adult male driver and two juvenile male passengers, all from the Seymour area. The driver and one juvenile passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a hospital for treatment.
A second juvenile passenger was found unresponsive at the scene. Despite life-saving efforts by first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Responding agencies included the Bowler Fire Department, Shawano Ambulance, Tigerton Ambulance, Wittenberg Ambulance, Shawano County Highway Department, Shawano County Coroner’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol, and Krause Towing Service.
The incident remains under investigation. No additional information is being released at this time.
