SHAWANO, WI – A federal grand jury has indicted a Shawano man accused of producing and distributing child pornography involving a toddler.
According to court documents, 29-year-old Brandon M. Boogren allegedly recorded several sexually explicit videos with a two-year-old child in May 2019. Authorities say Boogren then distributed the material online, sending it to a contact in Houston, Texas.
The indictment was handed down Tuesday in federal court.
If convicted, Boogren faces a mandatory minimum of 15 years in prison and could receive up to 30 years. He would also be required to register as a sex offender and could face fines of up to $250,000.
The case is being handled by federal prosecutors and remains under investigation.
