TOWN OF HARTLAND, WI- An 80-year-old man from the Bonduel area was killed Sunday morning in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 29 in the Town of Hartland.
According to the Shawano County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred just after 10:20 a.m. on June 15, near Broadway Road. Multiple 911 calls were made reporting a collision between an SUV and a motorcycle.
Authorities say the preliminary investigation indicates that the motorcycle was entering eastbound Highway 29 from a nearby business when it was struck by the SUV. Deputies believe the SUV driver was unable to brake in time to avoid the collision.
The SUV was occupied by one person, who was not injured. The motorcyclist was found unresponsive at the scene and was pronounced dead shortly after emergency personnel arrived.
