SHAWANO, WI — Summer in Shawano is about to get even more exciting as the community prepares for the return of ShawanoFest 2025, a day-long celebration packed with activities for all ages. The event is scheduled for Saturday, July 12, and will take place throughout the 100 and 200 blocks of Main Street as well as Franklin Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Organized by Shawano Downtown in partnership with Shawano Parks and Recreation, ShawanoFest promises a vibrant mix of entertainment, local vendors, and interactive experiences.
“There will be a lot to see,” said Lindsay Johnson of Shawano Downtown. “We’re bringing in some new attractions that we think people will really enjoy.”
Among the new additions this year are restored planes set up right on Main Street, offering a unique up-close look at aviation history. Representatives from the local airport will also be on-site to provide information about the Young Eagles program, which introduces youth to the world of flying.
The festival will also include a classic car show, a variety of craft vendors, live music performances, and a lineup of kids’ activities to keep families entertained. The popular Shawano Farmers Market will also be part of the festivities, providing fresh produce and local goods.
A variety of food trucks will line the streets, offering tasty eats to keep attendees fueled throughout the day. Additional entertainment and surprises are planned, making ShawanoFest a highlight of the summer for both residents and visitors.
Admission is free, and all are encouraged to attend.
