GILLETT, WI- The Gillett Public Library has introduced a new way to support the community with the launch of a free produce pantry. Located in the drive-thru area of the Gillett Community Center, the pantry allows residents to donate excess garden produce or herbs for others in the community to take and enjoy. The idea stems from the success of the library’s “Little Free Pantry,” which was placed inside the library last fall and quickly became a valuable resource for those in need. With strong community support, the pantry has now expanded outdoors to accommodate larger donations and increase accessibility. Funding for the project was provided by the Gillett Area Chamber of Commerce and Bellin Health Community Ambassadors, while an anonymous donor volunteered their time and skills to build the produce stand.
