It was a steady day for Clintonville police, starting just after 1 a.m. with extra patrols around schools and businesses, including stops on South Main Street and 15th Street.
A more serious call came just after 4:30 a.m., when officers responded to a death investigation on West Green Tree Road. No further details have been released.
Medical aid was needed later that morning on West Morning Glory Drive, and a welfare check was conducted on East Madison and Maize Street.
Officers were also busy in the afternoon with a theft report, a domestic disturbance, and a traffic stop — all within minutes on South Main Street. A suspected OWI arrest was made near Olen Park Road just before 5 p.m.
The evening saw more action, including a report of a missing person on Industrial Avenue, a utility problem on 9th Street, and threatening behavior reported on Wilson Street.
Police wrapped up their shift with citizen assistance, and several extra patrols to keep neighborhoods safe into the night.
Early Thursday morning, Shawano County deputies were kept busy with a range of incidents. Around 12:30 AM, 33-year-old female was cited for operating after revocation near Highway 45 and Kussman Road.
Just after 4:40 AM, emergency responders were called to a crash with injuries at the intersection of West Green Bay Street and North Cecil Street in Bonduel. Details about the severity of the injuries remain limited.
Animal-related calls were frequent throughout the day. An injured deer caused a traffic hazard near County Trunk A and Hickory Road around 1 AM. Later, a dog was struck by a vehicle on Highway 29 near Shawano, reported by its owner.
And in Pulaski, a stray horse situation unfolded around 4:30 PM, with five horses spotted on Oriole Road, prompting a swift response from deputies to avoid any traffic mishaps.
Suspicious activity was also reported. In Krakow, a caller said a man in a black sedan may have been dealing drugs after briefly stopping at an apartment. No license plate was noted, and the vehicle left before deputies arrived.
Meanwhile, a welfare check on Crescent Drive in Birnamwood took a serious turn just before 10:30 PM. A caller reported that their stepfather was threatening self-harm and had access to firearms. Family members were reportedly trying to secure the weapons before officers arrived.
And finally, a warrant arrest was made just after 11 PM when a blue Jeep with no plates was pulled over. The driver, identified only as “Danielle,” was taken into custody without incident.
