The latest Wisconsin high school baseball rankings have been released, and with just weeks to go before playoff action begins, several teams are making strong cases for championship contention across all four divisions.
In Division 1, Hudson (16-5) takes over the top spot after a surge up the rankings from No. 6. Sussex Hamilton (18-4) jumps to No. 2, while Kimberly (13-4) holds steady at No. 3. Previous No. 1 Madison Memorial (14-4) drops to fourth after a loss, followed by Sun Prairie East (14-5) and De Pere (17-4), both of whom slide slightly this week. D.C. Everest (17-3) and Oconomowoc (14-5) enter the rankings for the first time this season at No. 11 and No. 12, respectively.
Division 2 sees no change at the top as Whitnall (17-4) remains the team to beat. Seymour (19-2) rises to second, pushing New Berlin Eisenhower (15-4) to third. Aquinas (17-3) slips two spots to fourth. Kewaskum (17-4) makes a jump to No. 5, trading spots with Whitefish Bay (16-4). Wrightstown (15-5) breaks into the Top 10 at No. 10 this week.
In Division 3, Kenosha St. Joseph (17-3) and Cedar Grove-Belgium (16-3) remain steady at the top two spots, but Wittenberg-Birnamwood (20-2) surges to No. 3, continuing its stellar season. Westby (20-5) and Elk Mound (17-1) round out the top five, while Horicon (17-2) and Random Lake (16-5) enter the rankings this week at Nos. 11 and 12.
Division 4 welcomes a new No. 1 as Seneca (19-2) overtakes Pacelli (19-4), who now sits in second. Royall (19-5) makes a big leap to third, while Belmont (17-4) and Gibraltar-Washington Island (15-5) complete the top five. Palmyra-Eagle (15-6) cracks the Top 12, while several strong programs hover just outside in the Honorable Mention category.
