The Shawano Police Department responded to a busy slate of calls on May 19th, including multiple 911 reports, disturbances, and traffic-related incidents.
Early Monday morning, officers assisted an employee locked out of their vehicle at ThedaCare Medical Center. Around the same time, officers responded to a 911 call from South Lincoln Street involving yelling in the background—though the details remain limited.
Later, a disturbance on South Lutz Street led to a police presence involving multiple individuals, while officers also handled a missing patient report from Fresenius Dialysis Center—later transferred to another agency.
As the day continued, officers conducted welfare checks at local schools, addressed a juvenile incident at Memorial Park where kids were spotted on the splash pad roof, and responded to a theft complaint involving a vehicle reportedly taken by a family member after an argument.
Traffic issues kept officers on their toes as well—removing debris on East Green Bay Street and assisting with a roadway hazard near Senzig’s.
Other calls included animal noise complaints, several more vehicle lockouts, and an abandoned 911 call traced back to ThedaCare.
Officers also responded to a juvenile issue at Hillcrest Primary, a sex offense report, and a case involving protective custody, though details on those remain confidential.
It was a steady Monday for Clintonville Police, with officers responding to a variety of calls throughout the city.
The day began early with several business checks across North and South Main, Industrial Avenue, and East Green Tree Road. Emergency services were dispatched to ambulance calls on East Morning Glory Drive, South Main Street, and later in the evening on Brix Street.
Police conducted multiple traffic stops, notably along North Main Street and Harriet Street, and also responded to a welfare check on North Main just before 8 a.m.
A lockout at Pigeon Lake Wayside, a lost-and-found report, and extra patrols near Pickerel Point Playground rounded out the midday activity.
Later, officers addressed suspicious activity on South Main, a property damage complaint at Hemlock and 12th, and a 911 misdial on Garfield Avenue. An animal complaint on South Main and a final extra patrol at Memorial Circle closed out the evening.
It was a busy Monday for the Shawano County Sheriff’s Office, with deputies handling 28 calls across the county ranging from welfare checks to warrant arrests and a death investigation. The day began just after midnight with a general assist in Wittenberg, followed by a 911 hang-up in Laney and, tragically, a death investigation at an apartment on Main Street in Birnamwood early that morning.
Deputies responded to multiple welfare checks, including one concerning a man drinking heavily in Shawano and another involving an elderly man overdue from a hunting trip.
There were two separate reckless driving complaints, a civil dispute in Birnamwood, and lost property cases, including a wheelchair found abandoned near Fox Lake.
An incident at a Wittenberg McDonald’s involved loitering—a woman allegedly lunged at staff when asked to leave. Officers also responded to an intoxicated man near First National Bank in Tigerton, described as struggling to walk and accompanied by two dogs.
In addition to that, there was a traffic crash with injury, a warrant arrest in Pulaski, and a domestic disturbance reported by a neighbor who feared someone might be getting hurt during a loud confrontation.
Later in the evening, deputies investigated illegal burning near a park in Wittenberg, with reports of a bonfire reaching 8 feet high and thick black smoke.
The day ended just before midnight with a transport request from the Shawano County Jail for an inmate needing medical attention.
