WAUPACA, WI- A Rescue Task Force (RTF) training session is scheduled to take place on Monday, May 20 at 5:30 p.m. at the elementary school, bringing together local fire departments and law enforcement agencies.
The training is part of a coordinated effort to prepare emergency personnel for rapid response during mass casualty or active shooter incidents. RTF training focuses on teaching law enforcement, fire, and EMS teams how to work together to quickly provide medical aid and evacuate victims from high-risk zones.
Residents may notice an increased presence of emergency vehicles in the area during the training. Officials emphasize that this is a planned exercise and not an actual emergency.
The goal of the training is to strengthen public safety readiness and improve coordination between first responders in high-stress situations.
