LITTLE RIVER — A man is dead and another injured after a two-vehicle crash late Friday morning in the Town of Little River.
The Oconto County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened around 11 a.m. on U.S. Highway 41 near County Highway W. Responding deputies arrived to find a pickup truck and a passenger car in the median — both heavily damaged. The truck had rolled over.
According to the initial investigation, the pickup had just turned south onto the highway from County Highway W when it was rear-ended by a car traveling in the same direction. The collision forced both vehicles into the median.
The driver of the pickup, a 64-year-old man from Oconto, was pronounced dead at the scene. The 39-year-old driver of the car was taken to a Green Bay hospital.
