Shawano Police started early—just after 2 a.m.—with reports of a suspicious van near Charlie’s County Market. Described as a grey Ventura, the vehicle was allegedly carrying drugs, stolen goods, and possibly a replica Tommy gun. Officers responded but details remain under investigation.
At 6:22 a.m., a drug-related call came in from South Lafayette Street. Officers were on scene within 10 minutes, and that case is still active.
A death investigation was opened late morning on South Sawyer Street after a caregiver found a man deceased in his tub. Multiple officers and medical teams responded.
By mid-morning, a 91-year-old woman requested help contacting her caregiver when her phone failed. Officers made contact and assisted.
At noon, a domestic disturbance on East Elizabeth Street led to police intervention. Elsewhere, an individual was reported dancing erratically on lawns along Bartlett Street — officers calmed the situation without arrest.
Police were also called to Shawano High School twice for disorderly conduct, and a probation pickup at Green Bay Street led to one quiet arrest.
Additional calls included welfare checks, multiple 911 misdials, funeral escorts, juvenile issues, and a non-injury hit-and-run near Waukechon Street.
Clintonville Police Report The day began just after midnight with officers assisting the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office at 6th and Stewart. Around 3:30 a.m., an ambulance was dispatched to North 12th Street.
Several traffic stops kept officers busy throughout the day, including locations along Highway 156, Main Street, and Waupaca Street. A vehicle crash was reported on North 12th Street around 5:30 p.m., but no major injuries were noted.
Police also responded to an alarm on South Main, a welfare check, an animal nuisance on West Street, and a suspicious incident near East 2nd and South Main.
In the evening, a strong storm prompted a response near Lakeside Drive and Rose Park Court.
Rounding out the night were citizen assists, more patrols, and a series of traffic stops—including one at Highway 45 and County Highway C just after 10 p.m.
Shawano County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 31 incidents throughout the day, ranging from traffic accidents to drug investigations.
It started early at Wayne’s Place Bar & Grill in Bonduel, where a commercial alarm just before 7 a.m. prompted a law enforcement response. No break-in was found, but no keyholders could be reached.
Shortly after, a 911 call in Cecil was determined to be an accidental dial. Later in Shawano, a welfare check at a home on East Street revealed no issues, though concerns had been raised when a resident didn’t answer the door as usual.
Deputies also dealt with two disabled vehicles along Highway 29 in Shawano County, including one with a blown trailer tire.
Around 10:50 a.m., two customers backed into each other in a non-reportable traffic accident in Wittenberg. No injuries were reported.
Animal issues also made headlines—one caller reported a bear up a tree on Broder Road, while another in Bowler alerted authorities about potentially neglected dogs.
In the afternoon, deputies responded to multiple reckless driving reports, including one on Highway 29 involving a driver weaving across lanes.
A warrant pickup occurred at the Menominee Tribal Jail, and a vehicle-related drug investigation was opened in Bowler, reportedly involving a juvenile at the high school.
Finally, emergency services were called to the Shawano County Jail late in the evening for a medical issue involving a 43-year-old woman experiencing chest pains.
