Suspicious activity kicked off the early morning hours with a report of a man walking through a parking lot with a box of papers on Madison Way around 3:45 a.m. Officers investigated and cleared the scene without issue.
Later that morning, loud noise complaints near Sturgeon Park led to an active response, while around 8:18 a.m., multiple officers responded to a domestic disturbance on South Sawyer Street involving a male reportedly yelling and throwing items out the door.
At Olga Brener School, police handled juvenile-related issues, including an incident involving students and another related to unauthorized presence on school grounds.
A bail jumping case was reported at East Richmond and South Main, with one subject found violating no-contact conditions tied to a pending case.
Midday, a burglary alarm went off at a business on East Green Bay Street. While no crime was confirmed, the individual on-site couldn’t provide a valid alarm code, prompting further checks.
A report of a missing student at Hillcrest Primary School was resolved after officers learned she had accidentally boarded a bus instead of staying for an after-school program.
Officers were also dispatched to Memorial Park where two young girls were spotted doing cartwheels on a building roof, raising safety concerns.
The evening continued with two warrant pickups, a domestic disturbance on South Weed Street, and a suspicious vehicle reported near Charlie’s County Market, possibly connected to drugs and weapons. That investigation remains active.
Clintonville Police remained active throughout the day, conducting multiple business checks starting early at 2 a.m. on West Madison and Paulina Street. Officers also performed extra patrols on South Main and West Green Tree Road, including school-related monitoring.
Emergency services responded to an ambulance call shortly after 2:30 a.m. on West Green Tree Road, and later to a 911 call around 1:00 p.m. on Industrial Avenue.
Traffic enforcement was steady, with at least five traffic stops across the city, including key intersections like Highway 45 at Hilltop Road and South Main at 11th Street. A disabled vehicle was also reported mid-day at South Main and East Madison.
Other calls included ordinance violations, a lost and found case, a citizen assist, and support to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office near 9th Street.
It was a busy day across the region, with 37 incidents reported by the Shawano County Sheriff’s Office.
Early in the morning, deputies responded to a harassment complaint at an apartment on South Prouty Street. The caller described receiving a barrage of aggressive texts and phone calls from a neighbor, calling them “psycho.” The situation was handled and closed without arrest.
Just after 4 AM, a domestic disturbance in Antigo led to an arrest after a dispute between a woman and her child’s father escalated.
Several reckless driving calls came in throughout the day, including one vehicle weaving on Highway 29 that nearly ran another off the road. Three separate incidents of drivers ignoring school bus stop arms were also investigated.
At midday, authorities responded to a potential weapons offense near Aniwa, after reports of gunfire. The subject, an elderly man, was interviewed, and the case was closed without further action.
Later, a welfare check in Bowler raised concern when a confused elderly woman was seen wandering along the road. A good Samaritan brought her to safety at a local McDonald’s.
In Clintonville and Pulaski, two separate traffic accidents involving deer occurred in the evening hours. No injuries were reported.
And finally, the Stockbridge-Munsee Police responded to three calls, including a report of drug activity and a case of lost property in Gresham.
