Shawano officers responded to a variety of incidents across the city, ranging from minor disturbances to serious criminal investigations.
In the early hours of the morning, officers recovered a blue pair of glasses near Franklin and Green Bay Street, followed by a loud noise complaint in Sturgeon Park that was reportedly shaking nearby homes.
A repossession was carried out without incident on a red 2016 Chevy Trax, and later, a traffic violation was reported after a red vehicle ran a stop light near the courthouse — nearly missing a Keshena school bus.
Throughout the day, multiple property issues were logged, including a stolen 26-inch Trek bike from South Main Street and an abandoned bicycle reported in a wooded lot — which was not located.
Police responded to a suspected shoplifting case where a suspect was seen leaving on a bicycle, and a separate trespassing call identified a known shoplifter at Charlie’s County Market.
Suspicious activity and welfare checks continued across town, including reports of possible drug use in Memorial Park, and an emotional welfare call for a teenager reportedly threatening self-harm.
In more serious developments, Shawano officers launched a death investigation at South Main Street around 3:40 p.m. Details remain limited, but multiple units and medical responders were on the scene for nearly an hour.
Later in the evening, an assault was reported — also at Memorial Park — and officers quickly responded with several units.
Finally, calls included vandalism at two parks, a civil dispute involving a stolen iPad, and a case of custodial interference, where a father allegedly took a child against placement agreements.
Clintonville Officers were active throughout the day, beginning just after midnight with multiple business checks along South Main and Paulina Streets, and extra patrols conducted on Commercial Avenue and later at Olen Park and Memorial Circle.
A domestic incident on East 14th Street occurred around 2:45 a.m., followed by assistance provided to Waupaca County deputies on Lakeshore Road shortly before 8 a.m.
Several lost and found calls came in from Memorial Circle, South Main, and South Clinton Avenue, while a stray animal was reported on McKinley Avenue in the afternoon.
Traffic-related issues made up a large portion of the day — including hazards, stops, and a disabled vehicle at West 13th and North 12th.
Later in the day, police responded to threatening behavior on South Clinton Avenue and served legal papers on West 13th and Brix Street.
Finally, two ambulance calls were reported on North 12th Street — one just before 8 p.m., and another shortly before midnight.
Shawano County Sheriff’s Deputies began their day began just after midnight when a female turned herself in on a warrant at the Shawano County Jail. Around 2:45 a.m., deputies assisted a man in Birnamwood after a RapidSOS alert was triggered.
Early morning continued with cell extraction operations at the jail and an assist near Highways 29 and 22, where deputies gave a ride to Wittenberg.
At 8 a.m., an inmate was transported to the ER for abdominal pain. Later in Pulaski, deputies responded to a harassment report involving alleged stalking, and stood by during a property auction.
By late morning, courthouse security was provided for hearings, including one involving injunction proceedings.
At midday, deputies handled another harassment report in Wittenberg and a disturbance involving a juvenile in Eland. Two 911 calls were also logged—both abandoned, one during a door opening.
In the afternoon, a traffic offense was reported involving a car running a red light near the Menominee Bus Garage, with witnesses on scene.
Later, around 7 p.m., deputies assisted another agency with a case in Gresham. By 8 p.m., crews responded to a vehicle fire at County Road G and Winkle Road.
The night closed with a traffic hazard—a tractor blinding oncoming cars with bright lights in Bonduel—and a vehicle-versus-deer incident on Hillcrest Road. The deer was reported to be alive but lying in the road.
