SEYMOUR, WI- It was a rough night for Shawano baseball, as the Hawks fell 13-3 in five innings to Seymour on Monday at Rock Ledge Park.
The Thunder broke things open with a huge second inning, scoring eight runs to seize control early. A combination of timely hitting and costly walks proved too much for the Hawks to overcome.
Seymour remains unbeaten in Bay Conference play with the win.
Offensively, Dane Hodkiewicz led the way for Shawano, collecting two hits. Pete Bruette was tagged with the loss after pitching 1 2/3 innings.
With the defeat, the Hawks drop to 10-5 overall and 9-4 in conference action.
