SHAWANO, WI- The Shawano Police Department is once again participating in the Lunch in the Park program this summer. School Resource Officers Brandy Hoffman and Tyler Thornborrow will be out at local parks serving lunch and interacting with the community. While the dates aren’t finalized, this annual event is made possible thanks to the community trailer donated by Bryce Huntington of Auction Associates.
The trailer isn’t just for food—alongside meals like hot dogs, mac and cheese, and Uncrustables, it’s stocked with games and sports equipment including ladder ball, footballs, and soccer balls. It’s a great chance for kids to enjoy lunch, play, and spend time with officers, who’ll also have stickers to hand out. Adults are welcome too—come out, enjoy the parks, and connect with your local police officers.
