A busy Monday kept the Shawano Police Department responding to a wide variety of calls across the city.
Shortly after midnight, officers responded to a 911 call on South Smalley Street. While details were limited, the incident was active and required a multi-unit response.
Around 2:30 a.m., police and paramedics were called to East Division Street to assist a 48-year-old woman who was reported sick but conscious and breathing. That same morning, officers investigated an abandoned 911 call on East Lieg Avenue and responded to an audible alarm at Tractor Supply, where they found a semi-truck in the parking lot but no immediate threat.
By mid-morning, officers were called to a domestic disturbance on West Picnic Street. The anonymous caller reported visible injuries and loud screaming, prompting a three-officer response. In another case, a restraining order violation on West Swan Street led to an investigation involving a named suspect and victim.
Later in the day, a traffic complaint came in after a vehicle reportedly sped through a flashing crosswalk, nearly hitting children. Officers also handled multiple vehicle lockouts, animal complaints, and a reported theft on West Picnic Street involving two known parties.
To round out the day, officers provided a funeral escort, conducted welfare checks, and responded to a drug-related incident, though details on that remain undisclosed.

Clintonville Police reported officers responded to a series of incidents, just after 4 a.m., officers responded to a burglary on South Main Street. The incident remains under investigation, but authorities followed up with multiple business checks in the same area within minutes, likely as a precaution.
Later that morning, Clintonville officers assisted the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office, also on South Main Street, and conducted extra patrols near Anne Street following a 911 misdial.
Traffic enforcement was active throughout the day, with at least five separate stops, including along South Lyons, 7th Street, and East 2nd Street. Officers were also dispatched to a medical call on North Main Street around 9:30 p.m.
The day ended with more business checks, an extra patrol near Memorial Circle, and another 911 misdial just before midnight on Spring Street.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office responded to 23 incidents throughout the day. Early in the morning, deputies investigated a 911 hang-up call in Wittenberg and helped a motorist with a flat tire on Highway 29. In Birnamwood, a resident reported a contractor had abandoned a trailer at their home for two weeks.
By mid-morning, a major fraud case was reported in Bonduel, involving nearly $43,000 in losses linked to a car dealer. Deputies also provided extra patrol in Pulaski and helped firefighters in Birnamwood.
In Shawano, someone turned in a suspected drug item found inside the courthouse lobby. Other reports included a welfare check at a Kwik Trip, a disturbance involving an intoxicated spouse in Bonduel, and a reckless driving complaint about a young person speeding through gravel roads on an ATV.
Meanwhile, the Stockbridge-Munsee Police Department logged five calls. Officers were asked to speak with residents about dogs in Gresham and responded to a civil matter in Bowler, where an ex-wife allegedly threatened to take her son’s phone and gaming console. A harassment complaint and a report of found property belonging to a Menominee student rounded out their day.
