It was a busy day for law enforcement across Shawano County, with nearly two dozen incidents logged.
Just after midnight, a suspicious vehicle was reported on Lulu Court in Shawano. The caller described a truck turning off its lights and sitting in a cul-de-sac. Deputies responded, but no further issues were reported.
At North Star Casino around 1:18 a.m., staff called in a disorderly guest who was allegedly intoxicated and argumentative. He was removed without further incident.
Throughout the day, deputies handled multiple 911 misdials and abandoned calls, including a peculiar report of a mannequin giving the middle finger on Cedar Road. Authorities classified that as disorderly conduct—though no actual person was involved.
Later in the afternoon, smoke complaints on Vinal Street led to the discovery of a large brush burn in someone’s backyard. Fire crews were not required, and the situation was under control.
There were also several reckless driving calls, with reports of burnouts on Main Street in Birnamwood and erratic highway behavior near Pulaski. No injuries were reported.
Finally, a trespassing complaint came in from the Gresham area. The caller claimed suspects previously caught on camera had returned to his property. Tribal police and deputies responded, and the situation was resolved.
Clintonville police kept a visible presence throughout the city Sunday, responding to multiple incidents and conducting proactive patrols.
Officers logged several business checks along South Main Street in the early morning hours, as well as extra patrols in neighborhoods like Anne Street, Olen Park Road, and the Pickerel Point Playground — a clear sign of stepped-up community monitoring.
Three welfare checks were conducted during the day, including one on 10th Street and another at 5th and South Main — all resolved without major issues. Around noon, first responders were called to Green Tree Road and later to Spring Street for ambulance assists.
Police also conducted multiple traffic stops, most notably during the evening rush on South Main Street and surrounding intersections, ensuring road safety remained a priority.
In total, Clintonville officers handled more than 20 incidents, continuing their commitment to visibility and public safety.

Around 1 a.m., officers responded to reports of an intoxicated man slumped over the steps at a business on South Washington Street. He was located during routine building checks and appeared to be heavily impaired.
At 2:34 a.m., police were dispatched to a noise complaint at a home on Acorn Street. Loud music prompted neighbors to call, and officers identified several people inside the residence
Later in the morning, around 8 a.m., a suspicious silver Chevy pickup was reported parked near the Wisconsin House apartments. The vehicle had reportedly been there since the previous day with a man inside. Officers investigated and cleared the scene within 20 minutes.
Animal welfare was also a theme for the day. A little puppy left tied up and barking all morning on Picnic Street prompted concern from a neighbor. Later, two stray dogs were secured in separate incidents—one a yellow lab mix with no collar, and the other successfully returned to its owner.
Meanwhile, reckless driving drew police attention twice. In one case, vehicles were seen speeding through an alley near Richmond Street, raising safety concerns for children in the area. In another, a motorcycle was reportedly going 100 miles per hour near County Road M.
Finally, officers responded to two emergency medical calls late Sunday night, one at a care center and another involving a 48-year-old woman in distress.
