
Lynn L. Hansen, age 73 of Caroline, WI passed away Sunday evening May 4, 2025 following a brief stay at Shawano Health Services.
Lynn was born on December 18, 1951 in Iola and as a young boy moved to live with Edwin and Gertrude Westphal in Caroline. He graduated from Marion High School in 1969 and was united in marriage to Nancey Hoffmann on October 29, 1977 at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. Lynn began working for FS Feedmill in Caroline for a few years prior to its closure and has drove truck for the last 40 plus years at UC Cooperative in Shawano alongside his buddy Lloyd Boller. His family often joked that Lynn would always give driving directions based off where certain farmers lived in the area. In his younger years he enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing; spending more of his time recently attending his grandson’s sporting events. Lynn also enjoyed playing dartball for Zion Lutheran Church in Caroline and looked forward to his bowling nights in Tigerton or at Marion Rec. He was a faithful member of Immanual Lutheran Church in the Town of Grant, Shawano County where he served on the Board of Elders and as an usher over the years. He was also a charter member of the Caroline Lions Club and proudly served as the Parade Marshall for the club’s Colorama this past year.
Survivors include: His Daughter: Lisa (Brian) Schultz.
Grandson: Logan Schultz.
Siblings: Barbara Much, Rozanne Robenhagen, Diane McIntyre, Jerry Hansen, & Larry (Carol) Westphal.
Sisters-in-law: Carla Hansen & Donna Hoffmann.
Also numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Lynn was preceded in death by his parents Edwin and Gertrude Westphal, his wife Nancey in 2017, brothers Jim Hansen and Delmar Westphal, and brothers-in-law and sister-in-law Ron Much, Marshall “Pat” Robenhagen, Wally McIntyre, Richard Hoffmann, and William (Carol) Hoffmann.
Lynn’s memorial service will be held Saturday May 10, 2025 at 3pm at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Town of Grant, Shawano County with Rev. Dean Suehring officiating. Inurnment will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 2pm until the time of service. Memorials for the Caroline Lions Club would be appreciated by Lynn’s family.
