A busy day for the Shawano Police Department, with a wide range of calls keeping officers on the move.
Police responded to multiple burglary alarms, including two incidents at the Shawano Pawn Shop on River Heights Road—one just after 1 a.m. and another at 3:15 a.m. Officers cleared the scenes quickly after attempting contact with keyholders.
In another overnight event, a 911 call from W. Picnic Street led officers to respond at around 3 a.m., though no further details were released.
Later in the morning, officers were called to Shawano Middle School for a series of concerns, including a drug complaint, a tobacco issue, and a juvenile problem, all within hours of each other.
Elsewhere, a domestic disturbance was reported on E. Division Street. A resident claimed an incident had occurred the day prior and even provided video evidence of a break-in through a window.
At Shawano High School, a minor vehicle crash occurred in the parking lot, and a 911 call was later determined to be an accidental dial.
A reported fight at the local skateboard park around 4:20 p.m. drew a strong police presence. Officers were able to intervene, though the extent of the conflict remains unclear.
Finally, late Tuesday night, police responded to a disturbance on W. Division Street and performed two welfare checks, including one involving an elderly woman found confused on a sidewalk.
Clintonville police were busy throughout April 30th, conducting a series of routine patrols and responding to a variety of calls across the city. Officers performed multiple business checks during the early morning hours, primarily along South Main and East 3rd Streets, ensuring the security of local establishments.
A potentially concerning discovery came just before 3 a.m., when police responded to an open door on 20th Street, followed shortly by a school patrol in the same area. Throughout the day, officers handled civil complaints, lockouts, and multiple traffic stops, including one near Highway 45 and Reinke Road.
Emergency services responded to a medical call on Motor Street and an animal nuisance on North Main. Police also investigated suspicious activity on 15th Street and two theft reports from Wilson Street in the evening.
It was a busy day across Shawano County on Tuesday, with deputies responding to nearly 50 incidents ranging from animal complaints to serious crimes.
Just before 2 a.m., a driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated near Highway 29 in Bowler. Later in the morning, officers responded to a disturbing animal abuse report in Tigerton, where a witness said a man shoved a dog’s face into gravel, kicked it, and struck it with a stick. That case remains active.
Throughout the day, deputies handled multiple 911 hang-up calls, vehicle assists, and a string of animal-related issues—including a report of a dead golden retriever found in a ditch and a complaint about a vicious dog on Old Lake Road in Shawano.
One notable call involved the arrest of a man, who was picked up on a probation warrant at a residence on Cattau Beach Drive. Meanwhile, at least two cases were logged for failure to report to jail at the county’s work release facility.
Deputies also assisted with a fire call in Cecil and responded to a minor traffic collision near Pulaski involving foam insulation falling from a construction truck.
Authorities urge residents to report suspicious behavior and remind pet owners to ensure animals are kept safe and under control.
