STEVENS POINT, WI- The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) has recognized schools across the state with the Award of Excellence for the 2023-24 school year, honoring their dedication to the core values of sportsmanship, ethics, integrity, leadership, and character.
The Award of Excellence is presented annually to member schools that demonstrate a commitment to upholding the high standards expected both on and off the field. Schools are recognized for creating positive environments in athletic competition, modeling ethical behavior, and promoting leadership among student-athletes and coaches.
“These schools set an important example for their communities and for high school athletics as a whole,” said WIAA Executive Director Stephanie Hauser. “Their commitment to sportsmanship and integrity shows that success is about more than winning—it’s about building character and respect in young people.”
The WIAA congratulates all the honored schools and thanks them for making a lasting difference through their actions and leadership.
