SHAWANO, WI-Good news for fitness enthusiasts. The Shawano Rec Center will reopen its doors Friday, following recent maintenance. However, those looking forward to a swim will need to wait a little longer, as the pool will remain closed temporarily.
According to Rec Center officials, the air and water temperatures in the pool area are still in the 70s, falling short of ideal swimming conditions. Although the system is functioning properly, it requires additional time to reach optimal temperatures for safe and comfortable use.
“We’re monitoring the situation closely and will provide updates as soon as we’re confident the pool is ready,” a spokesperson stated.
Members are encouraged to enjoy the other facilities while the pool system continues its progress. Updates on the pool’s reopening will be shared promptly to keep everyone informed.
