Calendar Adjustments Possible For Shawano Schools

SHAWANO, WI- The Shawano School Board is scheduled to meet tonight. Among the items on the agenda will be the school calendar for the next two school years. Hoffman Planning and Design has asked the district to end the 2025-26 school year prior to Memorial Day and start the 2026-27 school year after Labor Day. This would allow for a longer time period for construction projects during the summer of 2026.  The District is also looking at keeping a Thanksgiving break and a one-week Spring Break in place. The board will be asked to approve starting the school day 15 minutes earlier to allow for that to happen. The Board will also be looking at approving administrator contracts tonight.
