WAUPACA COUNTY — A single-vehicle crash late Wednesday night claimed one life and left another individual seriously injured.
According to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred on December 18, 2024, at approximately 10:34 PM at the intersection of Buelow Road and County Highway T in the Town of Lebanon.
Investigators determined that the vehicle was traveling south on Buelow Road when it failed to navigate a curve, subsequently colliding with a utility pole.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while a passenger sustained significant injuries and was airlifted to ThedaCare Neenah by ThedaStar.
Authorities believe alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
