OCONTO, WI- Authorities report that Zackery Dale Wimber, 30, of Fond du Lac, was driving under the influence and with a revoked license during a fatal head-on crash on Sept. 8. The collision, which occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Highway 32-64 near Sparkys Road in the Town of Mountain, claimed the life of 52-year-old Lisa Marie Neitzel of Lake Tomahawk, a passenger in the other vehicle.
Wimber’s vehicle allegedly crossed the center line and struck a car driven by 15-year-old Kaley Violet Neitzel, who was injured along with her father, Ronald Neitzel, 54. Both survivors and Wimber were hospitalized with serious injuries.
Wimber faces multiple charges, including operating under the influence causing injury, driving while revoked, and several traffic violations. The Oconto County Sheriff’s report notes suspected drug use, with blood test results pending.
