SHAWANO, WI- The Shawano Common Council has given the green light for a new Jimmy John’s sandwich shop to open in Shawano by approving a conditional use permit on September 11. This permit allows the restaurant to include a drive-thru area, which is a requirement for any in-vehicle sales and service in the urban mixed-use zone where the shop will be located at 811 E. Green Bay St.
The demolition of the existing building is set to begin at the end of September, though it is not yet clear when the new Jimmy John’s will open its doors to the public.
