CECIL, WI- St. Martin of Tours Catholic Parish in Cecil will host a unique event this summer as part of the National Eucharistic Revival. Initiated by the United States Council of Catholic Bishops, this revival includes a National Eucharistic Pilgrimage, with Cecil as a stop on the Marian Route. Events are planned for June 12.
The schedule begins at 2:30 p.m. with an hour of Eucharistic Adoration at St. Martin’s (407 S. Warrington Ave.). At 3:30 p.m., a procession will move from the church to Shawano Lake at Cecil Village Park. A picnic-style dinner will follow at St. Martin’s Parish Hall. Raether will then lead a boat procession around Shawano Lake, concluding around 5 p.m., with the picnic continuing until 7:30 p.m.
The public is invited to join the events, with participants encouraged to walk or bring their own boats. Boaters should decorate their vessels festively but avoid political banners.
