BONDUEL, WI- Authorities responded to a distressing 911 call reporting that an infant had been struck by a vehicle at a residence on Wednesday evening. Multiple law enforcement officers and emergency medical service personnel rushed to the scene.
Upon arrival, first responders found CPR being performed on the 5-month-old female infant. Both Bonduel EMS and Shawano Ambulance teams were on-site, swiftly requesting assistance from ThedaStar Helicopter for urgent medical evacuation to a hospital in the Green Bay area.
Despite extensive life-saving effort, the infant succumbed to her injuries upon arrival at the hospital.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office – Detective Division and Bonduel Police Department maintained a presence at the scene, with full cooperation from all individuals involved, including the parents and the driver of the vehicle. The Wisconsin State Patrol assisted in processing and mapping the scene.
The incident remains an active investigation, with no further details currently available. Out of respect for the privacy of the family and all those affected by this devastating event, authorities have refrained from releasing additional information at this time.
The Wisconsin State Patrol, Bonduel EMS, Bonduel Fire Department, Shawano Ambulance, ThedaStar, and the Shawano County Coroner’s Office all assisted both the Bonduel Police Department and the Shawano County Sheriff’s Office.
