Jayne Mae Schaewe, age 62, of Shawano, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at her home. Jayne was born September 26, 1961, in Shawano, a daughter of the late Donald and Janet (Otto) Beyer. Jayne attended St. James Elementary School and later graduated from Shawano High School with the Class of 1979. Following school, she was employed at the Vlasik Pickle Factory in Bonduel and later Zwicker Knitting Mill in Shawano. On January 31, 1981, Jayne was united in marriage to the late David L.A. Schaewe at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. Jayne has spent her entire life in Shawano. Her husband preceded her in death on February 17, 2011. Jayne was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. She was a crafter and spent time working with the 4-H in Shawano. Jayne enjoyed her time working at the Shawano Speedway.
Survivors include her daughter, Roxanne (partner Angie Cox) Schaewe of Shawano; son, Jeremy (Brianne) Schaewe of Shawano; three grandchildren, Brayden Schaewe, Brooke Schaewe, and Kenna Ledbetter, all of Shawano. Jayne is further survived by her siblings, Wanda Copsey, Jeff Beyer, Douglas (Stacey) Beyer, and Brenda (Denise Dodge) Beyer, all of Shawano; three brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; and several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law.
A funeral service for Jayne will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Mickelson Funeral Service in Shawano. Vicar David Kaiser will officiate. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am on Friday and continue until the time of service. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano.
