SEYMOUR, WI- Four individuals sustained serious injuries following a collision in the Town of Seymour on Saturday afternoon. The incident, involving two vehicles, occurred at the intersection of County Road VV and State Highway 55.
According to reports received by the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office at 2:21 p.m., a pickup truck driven by a 69-year-old man was traveling west on County Road VV when it failed to stop at a stop sign. The pickup proceeded into the intersection and collided with another pickup truck heading south on State Highway 55. The second pickup was operated by a 60-year-old man.
Emergency responders, including deputies and medical personnel, quickly arrived at the scene. Both drivers were transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries, with one being airlifted by helicopter and the other taken via ambulance, as confirmed by the sheriff’s office.
Additionally, there were passengers in each of the vehicles involved in the crash, and they too were conveyed to the hospital for medical evaluation and treatment, according to Lieutenant Lee Wang of the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities have ruled out drugs or alcohol as factors contributing to the collision. However, an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing.
