SHAWANO, WI- In a display of unity and faith, Sacred Heart Catholic School in Shawano commenced Catholic Schools Week with a heartwarming Family Mass on Sunday, January 28. The celebration brought together students, families, and parishioners in a spirit of gratitude and joy.
The event, held at Sacred Heart Catholic School, featured the charismatic presence of Fr. Edward Looney and Deacon Jim Lonick, who led the congregation in a memorable Mass experience. School families filled the pews, extending a warm welcome to the clergy and fellow attendees.
Gratitude was expressed towards the dedicated educators of Sacred Heart Catholic School, as teachers Paula Kundinger and Sarah Mente played integral roles in the service, offering readings that resonated with the congregation. Three Student Council members, Lily Gee, Cora Flaig, and Anessa Bantle, were acknowledged for their contribution to the Mass by presenting the Gifts, symbolizing unity and shared commitment. Kevin Kroenke and Kayleigh Withrow, serving as student Mass servers, added a touch of reverence to the ceremony.
The support extended beyond the students, as members of the School Board and Parents Involved in Education (PIE) attended the Mass, demonstrating the solidarity and backing of the school community.
