TOWN OF HORTONIA, WI- A collision occurred in the Town of Hortonia on Saturday night, east of River Rd on State Highway 15, resulting in one individual being hospitalized.
The incident involved a 44-year-old Appleton man driving east when he was struck by a 45-year-old Appleton man. The impact caused the latter’s vehicle to overturn and catch fire.
Emergency responders treated the 44-year-old man at the scene, while the 45-year-old was transported to the hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
State Highway 15 was closed for approximately two hours to facilitate the response and investigation.
Preliminary indications suggest that alcohol may have played a role in the occurrence.
