
Bradley R. “Brad” Eder, age 64 of Shawano, passed away on November 20, 2023, in the loving arms of his wife and family. Brad was born in Antigo on April 9, 1959, to Benedict and Dorothy (Olson) Eder. He attended grade school in Mattoon and graduated from Wittenberg Birnamwood High School. Brad played sports in high school including shot put and football. Throughout his career he worked many heavy jobs. On February 13, 2006, he received his certification as a fitness trainer. Brad was an avid weightlifter and went to state and national competitions, winning the world championship three times. He later started arm-wrestling where, on March 9, 2019, he was inducted into the arm-wrestling hall of fame in Stevens Point. On February 8, 1986, Brad was united in marriage to Bonny (Otto) Coddington. Together they celebrated 37 ½ wonderful years together. Brad enjoyed hunting, fishing, going for long car rides, going out to eat, watching all the wildlife in the back yard, being with friends and neighbors, and going to see the Christmas lights. Brad loved his fur babies: Bailey, Phoebe, and Calie. You could always find him watching game shows, westerns, soap operas, or cheering on the Green Bay Packers.
Survivors include his wife, Bonny; son, Kenny Eder; brother, Benjamin (Linda) Eder; stepson, Eric (Kathy) Unger; step-granddaughter, Alyssa; two special aunts, Margie, and Jayne; sister-in-law, Peggy Creapo; and several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Pamala, and Paula; in-laws, Victor, and Deloris Otto; two brothers-in-law, Steve Otto, and Ralph Creapo; and several other relatives and friends.
A private family burial for Brad will be held at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano.
