Allen M. Hartmann, age 80 of Shawano, went to meet his Lord and Savior Friday afternoon, November 3, 2023, at Cherry Meadows Hospice in Appleton. Allen was born March 3, 1943, in Shawano, a son of the late Martin and Florence (Raasch) Hartmann. He attended St. James Lutheran School prior to Shawano High School where he graduated with the Class of 1961. Following high school, Allen worked at Umland’s Painting in Shawano for several years. On July 21, 1962, he was united in marriage to the former Joanne Schreiber at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. She preceded him in death on May 1, 2020. Allen worked for Purolator Courier Corp. for ten years before starting his own business, A.M. Hartmann Painting & Decorating in Shawano. He eventually retired in 2008. Allen is a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. He was an avid hunter, but his passion was being a ‘jack of all trades’. There were not many things in this world he could not fix. Allen was always ready to help others with projects and was also a proud founding member of the Hamlin Street Bucket Brigade. He cherished time spent with family and friends.
Survivors include his children, Dean (Jill Steele) Hartmann, Lisa (Shawn) Copsey, and David (Julie) Hartmann, Kellie (Bob Gueths) Hartmann; his grandchildren, Sarah (David) Puma, Emily
(Carmine) Linea, Jacob (Ashley) Hartmann, James Boivin III, Brodie Hartmann, and Marlie Hartmann; great-grandchildren, Charlotte Puma, Marribelle Puma, Lucianna Puma, Sophia Hartmann, Violet Linea, Thea Linea, Harlynn Hartmann, Hilee Hartmann, and Isaac Boivin; and several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, James
