WAUPACA, WI- Waupaca County Sheriff Tim Wilz is reminding the public that green dot card scams are taking place, including in Waupaca County.
Wilz says the Sheriff’s office, or any police department will never call someone and tell them to get a green dot car to pay off an arrest warrant. He says any kind of call asking people to do that should be ignored and then reported.
