WAUPACA, WI- A Waupaca County man has been convicted on charges related to a death in the county. Steven Eggert was convicted of solicitation of first-degree intentional homicide. In court, Eggert entered an Alford plea, which maintains his innocence, but acknowledges that the state has evidence to convict.
Court records show that in April of 2022, A house in the Town of Harrison was burned down. The body of 62-year-old Kevin Roeglin was found.
According to records, Eggert set a dead man’s home on fire instead of reporting it. Eggert was convicted of additional counts that he entered a no contest plea for.
