Amy Jo Buss Cantrall, age 49 of Chilton, beloved daughter, sister, wife, stepmother, and friend, passed away early Saturday morning, June 17, 2023, at her happy place, leaving a void in the hearts of all who knew her. Amy’s bright spirit, unwavering determination, and boundless love for her family and community will forever be remembered.
Amy was born in Green Bay on February 27, 1974, a daughter of Patricia (Balthazor) Buss-Kaddatz and the late William Buss. She entered the world with a radiant smile that would touch the lives of so many. She attended St. Paul Grade School in Bonduel and Bonduel High School, graduating with the Class of 1992. Following high school, she was employed as a dispatcher at Danes Farm Trucking Company in New Holstein, WI.
Amy is a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel. From an early age, she displayed a passion for cars, and it was no surprise when she fell head over heels for her beloved Mustang. The sound of its engine brought her immense joy, and she would often be seen cruising down the open road, her laughter echoing through the wind. Amy’s compassionate nature was matched by her dedication to making a difference in the lives of those battling cancer. She raised funds for Cruise for a Cause, organizing events that brought the community together. Her unwavering commitment to the cause served as an inspiration to others, and she touched the lives of countless individuals facing the challenges of this disease.
However, it was within the walls of her home that Amy found her truest happiness. She poured her heart and soul into nurturing her family. Amy’s warmth and nurturing spirit created a loving and supportive environment. Her laughter filled rooms, and her love provided strength during both the triumphs and the trials of life.
Amy Jo will be deeply missed but never forgotten. She leaves behind her mother Patricia Buss-Kaddatz, and stepfather, Al Kaddatz; her siblings, Lori (John) Cathey, Adam (Tricia) Buss, and Andrew (Kelsie) Buss; four nephews, Hunter, Alex, Chase and Owen and a wide circle of friends and extended family, all of whom will forever carry her memory in their hearts. She is further survived by her husband and stepdaughter, Patrick, and Mercedes Cantrall. The family would like to thank Amy’s soul sister, Tina, for her forever friendship and guidance through this difficult journey. She was preceded in death by her dad, William Buss in 2019, and her grandparents.
A visitation with time to celebrate and remember the amazing life of Amy Cantrall will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023, from 2:00 to 4:30 pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel. Pastor Mark Palmer will conduct the prayers of committal at 4:30 at the church.
In lieu of flowers and plants, the family kindly suggests memorials in Amy Jo Buss Cantrall’s name. Together, let us honor her memory by continuing the fight against this devastating disease.
As we bid farewell to our dear Amy, let us remember the joy she brought to our lives, the tireless work she did for the cancer community, and the love she shared with her family. May her legacy serve as a reminder to us all to live with passion, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to the causes we hold dear.
