
Carol J. Young, age 81, of Marion passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Neenah.
A daughter of the late John and Mollie (Burmeister) Lubinski, she was born on September 29, 1941, in Isaar, Wisconsin. She was married to Norman F. Young on May 20, 1978.
The majority of her life was spent in Marion while still enjoying a family cabin in the northwoods of Phelps, Wisconsin. She was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Marion and assisted with funeral dinners, church stand, and rummage sales. She retired in 1979 to become a full-time homemaker. She had a special remembrance of Father David Koehne who helped her re-establish her religious beliefs. Special times for her were the birth of her children and meeting the special man of her life, Norman, who accepted and helped her to raise her children and provided her with comforting care. She enjoyed bowling, dancing, fishing, embroidery and watching hummingbirds.
Carol is survived by husband Norman; her daughters Karen (Robert) Mundt and Linda (Steven) Tryba; her son Alvin Young; grandchildren Kristine Mundt, Brian Routhieaux, Mollie White (Dustin Thomas), Melissa (Zachary) Boeckman, Michael Young, stepchildren Dennis (Shirley) Young, Charlotte (Steve) Heuer, Jackie Stuhr; numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister-in-law Carol Lubinski.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers James (Eunice) Lubinski and Allen Lubinski, grandson Stephen Mundt, Bruce Stuhr, and Joshua Stuhr.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 16th at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Marion. Fr. Matthew Settle will officiate and burial will be at later date in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:00 AM until time of mass at the church. Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Marion, is assisting the family.
