Kevin Lloyd Tober, aged 57, passed away on Wednesday January 25, 2023, in Pella. He was born on August 28, 1965, to Arlyn and Janet “Jan” (Kriefall) Tober in Clintonville. Kevin graduated from Marion High School in 1983. He worked on the family farm and enjoyed riding horses. Kevin raced stock cars from 1983 to 1997, was inducted in the Shawano Speedway Hall of Fame, where he was a four-time track champion, his biggest mentor was the late MJ McBride. He loved racing snowmobiles in Eagle River. Kevin organized and hosted the Pella Fire Department trail rides. He worked at the Shawano Sheriff’s Department for 10 years and was a volunteer on the Pella Fire Department. Kevin worked at Reinhart Foods in Shawano and KI in Bonduel. He was known for wheeling and dealing on snowmobile parts.
Kevin is survived by his parents Arlyn and Janet; brother and sisters Lynn (Tom) Tober-Steinke, Kenneth Tober, and Christy (Rick) Spiegel, all of Pella; nieces and nephews Steven and Allyn Tober Steinke, Jeff Tober and Douglas (Kaela) Tober, Gary Spiegel and Melynda Spiegel; great niece and nephew Eleanor Tober and Sullivan Tober.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Pella, Rev. Tim Lofgren will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm, then again on Sunday, February 5, 2023, from noon until the time of service at the church. Burial will be at Bethlehem Lutheran Church Cemetery following the service.
