SHAWANO, WI- There have been multiple complaints and Facebook posts regarding porch pirates in the City of Shawano.
Porch Pirates are individuals who steal packages from people’s homes after they are left outside following delivery.
Two Shawano residents recently reported their packages were stolen.
Those who know that they have packages coming are encouraged to either make sure someone is home at the time of delivery or shortly after, or they should ask a neighbor or friend to bring the package inside or watch it until they do get home.
Cameras that show activity in front of the house is also a good idea this time of year.
