MARINETTE, WI- An attorney for a man found guilty of killing two people is trying to get his conviction overturned, even though he is dead. Attorney Ana Babcock filed a brief last Friday on behalf of Raymand Vannieuwenhoven. Babcock argues her client’s Fourth Amendment rights were violated. She is challenging the way authorities got his D-N-A. Vannieuwenhoven was 85 when he died in prison. He was serving two life sentences for killing David Schuldes and Ellen Matheys in 1976 in Marinette County.
