SHAWANO, WI- Then there were three. Resignations of two more Shawano School Board members were confirmed on Tuesday.
School Board President Mike Musolff said Vice President Chris Gull and board member Michael Sleeper have resigned from the Shawano School Board. This news follows the confirmed resignation of Chuck Dallas on Monday. The resignations of Dallas and Sleeper will end the need for a recall election in October.
Sleeper explained to Musolff that he was resigning to avoid have the district go through a recall election. Dallas gave the same reason in a letter to Musolff. Both Sleeper and Dallas were nearing a recall election after enough signatures were collected to move forward. The community collected over 1900 signatures to recall both board members. The district was scheduled to verify the signatures by Thursday and hold a recall election in October. It has still not been confirmed if that will happen or not.
