Rockies Top Brewers

MILWAUKEE, WI- Lefty starter Kyle Freeland and two relieves shut out the Brewers on five hits Monday in a 2-0 win.  That let Colorado salvage the last game of a four-game series at American Family Field.  Milwaukee loaded the bases in the ninth against Rockies closer Daniel Bard but couldn’t score.  Freeland says he used the All-Star break to make some adjustments and the work paid off.  Aaron Ashby was the hard-luck loser after pitching seven solid innings, giving up just five hits and a walk.  The Brewers open a two-game home series against the Minnesota Twins Tuesday.  Rookie Ethan Small will be the starter.
