Judge Approves Auction Sale Of Annie's Campground


SHAWANO, WI- A Shawano County judge approved an auction sale of Annie’s Campground in Gresham. The facility is owned by Ann Retzlaff, who is in jail on multiple charges. Records show she is also behind on her mortgage payments.

Sealed bids will be accepted until August 19. A hearing will take place on August 23 to confirm the results of those bids.

Retzlaff is facing charges of recklessly endangering safety, disorderly conduct and bail jumping, stemming from a May of 2021 traffic stop and a later arrest in April of 2022.
Separate from the criminal charges, Bank First initiated a civil action against the campground, regarding the $1.5 million in mortgages it holds on the property. The bank says there have missed payments for the loan, insurance, and taxes, so the court appointed a receiver to manage the Gresham property.
